How to Build Online Sales Funnels – One Funnel Away (OFA) Review

My introduction to One Funnel Away 30-Day Challenge…
A few months ago (March 2019), I signed up for Russell Brunson’s (ClickFunnels) One Funnel Away 30-Day Challenge. Let me start out by saying, I do not usually write product reviews; but, in this instance, I’ve decided to share my opinion because I think there is A LOT of information presented in this challenge for a nominal fee.
Although I had heard of ClickFunnels, I wasn’t familiar with the challenge. As luck would have it, one of my friends was doing a series of Facebook live videos. Now, I don’t typically watch his videos (LOL); but, for some reason, that day I decided to see what he was talking about. The primary message centered around your finances which piqued my interest. The discussion later focused on generating additional income. Now he has my attention, so I click on the affiliate link on his Facebook post and I am directed to the 30-day challenge sales page.
I began reading through the sales page. Wait, hold on. Here is the book I’ve been looking all over the internet for – 30Days.com.
About a year or so ago, I heard about this book. The theme of the book, if you suddenly lost EVERYTHING, what would you do from day 1 to day 30 to save yourself?
Now if you know me, you know that I love a step-by-step blueprint. This book not only provides a blueprint, it provides the blueprint from 30 different entrepreneurs. It was a no brainer. Where do I sign up? For me, the book alone was worth $100.
My thoughts/experience…
Initially, my primary goal was to get my hands on the book; but, once I logged into the challenge and started to review the lessons, I was hooked (no pun intended) on the challenge. For $100 ($3.33/day), I received an average of 1.5 hours of pre-recorded training from 3 coaches and another hour of live coaching every day on how to build a sales funnel.
Unfortunately, due to a prior commitment and my 9-5 job, I was unable to devote 100% of my attention to the challenge. I reviewed the pre-recorded training, but I didn’t review the live daily coaching and/or actively participate in the Facebook group.
Let’s stop there for a minute. The Facebook Group was amazing, but I realized this too late. The last 2 weeks I began to “drop” into the group. At this time, I see the posts, the responses, the wealth of information the other participants are sharing with one another. I definitely snoozed on this one; and, as a result, I was missing out. Now, I’m in reaction/panic mode trying to get through as many posts as possible before the group is deleted. Needless to say, I was not successful.
The AHA Moment…
Including the pre-training week, the course is 5 weeks. After the first 2 weeks, I’m able to see the value in the information. I realized the benefits of incorporating this strategy into my new business.
Somewhere in the foreseeable future, I will create my own products and/or courses. When that time comes, I will need a sales funnel, and I don’t have any experience in building one. Now, I’ve stumbled upon this goldmine. A challenge that provided me the information to get started; but I hadn’t made the most of the opportunity.
Next Steps…
I need to learn to understand the sales funnel process. It’s a formula, so that should make it easier for me. It’s basically the infomercial formula. Add bonuses to entice my offer. Find a way to make my offer standout from the competition while adding value to the customer.
March’s challenge inspired me to bite the bullet and get my first funnel built. So, the other day, I signed up for ClickFunnels’ 2-week trial offer.
This is all new for me so there’s a learning curve; but I’ve made the commitment to myself.
My commitment – Master the process of building a sales funnel.
Take the challenge again. As of a week ago, I signed up to take the challenge that begins on June 17th, and this time I will be fully present. Because of my work schedule, I may not be able to participate in the live daily coaching; but I’ll watch the replay the same day. More importantly, I will be active in the Facebook Group. Soaking up all the knowledge and tips from other participants; and, sharing knowledge where I can.
Even though I do not have a product and/or service of my own to promote, I’m still taking steps to move myself forward. I’ve decided until my courses are ready, I’ll use the same methods to promote various affiliate products that compliment my brand. I’ll promote the tools that I need to build my business/blog.
I’m starting from where I am now. Creating a system to generate additional income and change my financial blueprint.
My Final Thoughts…
In my pursuit of becoming a successful entrepreneur, I have spent thousands of dollars over the years on various courses. Some of them were worth the money and others were not. I think my biggest disappointment with the courses that did not provide value was the lack of instruction.
The instructors talked about their success and a lot about theory. When I purchase a course, I don’t want theories. I want the blueprint. The process. The step-by-step. I understand it’s my responsibility to take action. I’m a visual learner, so I work better with detailed instructions. It’s how I’m wired.
I feel confident that I can use the information included in the OFA’s challenge to jump start my business and generating income.
My advice to you, if you sign up, put the challenge on your calendar. Allocate time every day to review the videos and complete the daily assignments. If you do, I’m confident you’ll find value.

Pre-Training – Mindset training – focusing on your beliefs, as well as, eliminating limiting beliefs.
After the pre-training, each lesson will build on the prior lessons. So, you should view the training in sequence and complete the daily homework as assigned.
Week #1 – Learning the process of using the hook, the story and the offer. How to create a great offer because a great offer makes all of difference. A bad offer with an amazing funnel just won’t work.
Week #2 – Learning to tell your story.
Week #3 – Building the funnel
Week # 4 – Driving traffic to your funnel.
