Welcome to SherryLouMiller.com

I’ve spent quite a bit of time thinking about the content that I would like to post on my blog.   And it all comes back to storytelling…

But then I began to analyze the concept of storytelling.  Would that limit the conversations and/or topics on my blog?  Would the topic seem to broad?  Can I incorporate other topics? At the end of the day, I’ve come to the conclusion that everyone has a story to tell; and, even if we all hear the same story, our interpretations will differ. Some of our stories may focus on relationships, finances, career, business, family etc.; but, each of our stories include struggle, plot twists and rewrites.

So here are my thoughts,  life is moving along….following the outline that we’ve written in our minds and then….BAM…there’s an unexpected plot twist.  We try to understand why this was happening. How do we get through it? How can we move forward? How can we make the next chapter different?  I’ve had those moments. I’ve asked those questions. So a few years ago, I decided to take a different approach.  Look for the teachable moments.  Understand that the challenge/the struggle is a part of my story.  And in some cases, except the struggle as my catalyst for a much needed change.

I’m interested in building a community of storytellers. Storytellers who share Life Stories that Inspire, Uplift and Transform lives.  Share stories where the challenge/the obstacle/the struggle turned out to be the solution and not the problem.

Like my life, my story, the site is still work in progress and that’s okay.  It’s all about starting where you are now.

Changing lives one story at a time.
